ILLUSTRIOUS BROTHER KEITH SAVAGE RETIRES AS RECORDER
AFTER 25 YEARS AT ALEXANDRA CHAPTER ROSE CROIX NO:638
The Very Illustrious Inspector General
for Lincolnshire for the Antient and Accepted Right, Geoffrey
Mawer Cooper, recently presented an inscribed decanter
and tumblers to Ill.Bro. Keith Savage of Alexandra Chapter
Rose Croix No:638, Long Sutton to mark 25 years service
as Recorder of the Chapter.

Ill. Bro. Savage retired last May and
is seen centre with the V.Ill Inspector General, Geoffrey
Mawer Cooper - left, and the Most Wise Sovereign of the
Chapter, Ex.& P. Bro. J.R. Garner - right.
Our congratulations to Keith on his
'retirement' and thanks to Ill.Bro. Les Penney for the
article.
This degree, or rite, is also known by its title in the
eighteenth century, being:
THE ANCIENT AND ACCEPTED RITE
FOR ENGLAND AND WALES AND ITS DISTRICTS AND CHAPTERS OVERSEAS.
It is practised in Rose Croix Chapters and candidates
must have been Master Masons for at least a year.
The ceremony is consistent with the Christian faith,
and in its teaching it expresses the figurative passing
of man through the darkest vale, accompanied and sustained
by the theological virtues.

Rose Croix Collar 18th Degreee
In a subsequent degree of some seniority, the candidate's
attention is particularly drawn to a philosophical interpretation
of the Masonic system.
In Lincolnshire there are thirteen Rose Croix Chapters
based on Lincoln , Grantham, Grimsby (2), Skegness, Scunthorpe,
Spalding, Cleethorpes, Long Sutton, Sleaford, Boston,
Louth, and Gainsborough.
